The Auray professional shotgun microphone windshield provides 360° wind protection while maintaining acoustic transparency for clear and accurate recordings. Its slip-on construction fits compatible microphones measuring 0.75 to 0.9 inches (19 to 23 mm) in diameter and up to 7 inches (17.8 cm) long.

A specially manufactured open-cell foam matrix creates a controlled air space around the microphone. The surrounding 0.9-inch simulated fur layer lowers wind velocity before it reaches the microphone, helping reduce broadband wind noise and vocal pops without significantly muffling high-frequency detail.

An airtight tapered rubber base seals around the rear of the microphone to improve isolation and rear-wind protection. The wraparound covering also helps prevent moisture and dirt from reaching the microphone during use.
